Rainfall forecast for the country for the month of May 2013 is for  Normal rainfall to prevail over the country

Central and Inland Areas

Southern Areas

Middlesex (Stann Creek) (115.2 – 206.8 mm) or (4.5 – 8.1 inches)

Temperature

Above normal temperature can be expected over Belize and her coastal waters for the month of May 2013.

Temperatures that are expected across the country are as follows:

Northern Areas

40% chance of above normal temperature (above 27.5°C)

Central and Inland Areas

40% chance of above normal temperature (above 29.2°C)

Southern Areas

40% chance of above normal temperature (above 27.8°C)

Seasonal  Precipitation forecast  for May-June-July  is for  slightly above normal rainfall  to prevail over  northern, central and inland areas and  normal over the rest of the country.

Watches/Warnings : Winds Easterly at  at 5-15 knots becoming East - Souteast 10-20 knots during the week-end..
