Feature(s) of Agrometeorological Interest:

The rainy season began in Belize around May 29-31, 2008.  The rains were generated by the remnants of Eastern Pacific TS Alma and the regeneration of Atlantic Basin TS Arthur just over the coast of Belize on the morning of May 31, 2008.  The rains and thunderstorms have persisted off-and-on through June 11, 2008.  Conditions are becoming more stable but satellite images this morning are showing moisture stream NNE over Guatemala, Belize and Yucatan.  So, we can still expect more showers especially in the South and interior, during the next 24-48 hours.
